“Everyone deserves a photograph of themselves they love,” said Lynnette Steen, the owner of Lynnette’s Portrait Design. “With arms-length selfies and a tendency to be our own worst critic, it is significant to have a photo you feel great about. I opened my studio in 2007, a time when many brick-and-mortar studios were closing with the rise of digital photography. My goal was to create a comfortable, welcoming studio with professional lighting and year-round availability. In 2012, Matthew Denney joined, and together we provide both an experience and portraits our clients love and are excited to share.”
“We photograph life’s meaningful moments,” Steen said, “from the birth of a child, to high school seniors, to family portraits, corporate headshots and special events. No matter the session, our goal is to create images our clients are excited to share. We’ve recently expanded into event headshots and event coverage. Large-volume professional headshots serve as high-value swag for guests and comprehensive event coverage captures the story of your event.”
Steen said her work with the Duluth Chamber has been important to her and her career. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to have served on the Duluth Area Chamber’s Board of Directors and to work alongside many Chamber members,” she noted. “The relationships and collaboration the Chamber fosters are invaluable to me and to our region. I appreciate all the Chamber does to support a strong, balanced community – one where our children and grandchildren can build their lives and careers.”
Steen’s main source of pride is her family, though. “My husband of 51 years and I have four adult children, their spouses and 11 grandchildren who often gather at our home for Sunday dinner,” she said.
