Age Well Arrowhead Receives $351,000 Live Well at Home Grant

Age Well Arrowhead, a Duluth-based nonprofit organization supporting older adults throughout the Northland, is a recipient of a $351,000 Live Well at Home Grant from the Minnesota Department of Human Services, for State Fiscal Year 2027.

“It’s an honor to be one of the organizations to receive these funds from the Minnesota Department of Human Services,” said Jacob Dreyer, Executive Director of Age Well Arrowhead. “The Live Well at Home Grants will help so many older adults maintain their independent lifestyle, and in a safe and healthy way.”

The Minnesota Department of Human Services receives funding to help communities rebalance their long-term care services and supports and be better able to help people age 65 and older to stay in their own homes and communities.

The Live Well at Home Grants promote targeted development to meet the challenges of Aging 2030 and the forecasted pressures on Minnesota’s long-term care system.

Age Well Arrowhead provides services and supports that allow older adults to live how they choose. Services include homemaker, companionship, transportation, grocery shopping and delivery, and snow removal and lawn care.

The Live Well at Home Grant focuses on Age Well Arrowhead’s companionship program by providing respite to more caregivers, increasing staff capacity and service expertise, and expanding the organization’s geographical footprint.
