Mayor Roger J. Reinert to deliver 2026 State of the City Address

Mayor Roger J. Reinert will deliver his third State of the City Tuesday, March 24, 2026.  

Mayor Reinert is expected to highlight accomplishments as well as review budgetary information. Music by Denfeld High School Choir, a welcome from Fourth District City Councilor David Clanaugh, remarks by City Council President Lynn Marie Nephew, and more will open the program, with Mayor Reinert’s speech immediately following.

Community awards will also be presented to select individuals for their contributions to the community. ASL interpretation will be provided in real time.

Opening Program and Speakers

The event will begin with a series of opening remarks and performances that set the tone for the evening. Attendees can expect a welcome from Fourth District City Councilor David Clanaugh, followed by remarks from City Council President Lynn Marie Nephew. The Denfeld High School Choir will provide live music to open the program, bringing a strong local presence to the stage. Mayor Reinert’s address will follow immediately after the opening program.

Mayor Reinert’s Address

Mayor Reinert is expected to highlight key accomplishments from the past year while also providing a clear overview of the city’s budget and financial outlook. The speech will focus on progress made across Duluth, along with priorities and direction for the year ahead, giving residents a better understanding of where the city is headed.

Community Recognition

As part of the program, select individuals will be recognized with community awards for their contributions and impact across Duluth. These awards aim to highlight the people helping move the community forward through leadership, service, and involvement.

ASL interpretation will be provided in real time to ensure the program is accessible to all attendees. This allows more members of the community to fully engage with and follow along during the event.
