Investing in Our Team

Ellie Pessenda Promoted to Full-Time Role

At the Duluth Area Chamber Enterprise, we often talk about building strong organizations through strong people. Today, I’m pleased to share a great example of that in action.

Ellie Pessenda has been promoted from her part-time intern role to a full-time position as our Member and Operations Specialist.

From day one, Ellie has demonstrated a bright mind, strong performance, sound judgment and the kind of reliability every organization depends on. She has played an important role in supporting our membership administration, events and internal operations. Much of this work happens behind the scenes, but it has a real and lasting impact.

This role will further strengthen our operational capacity, enhance the member experience and support the effective execution of our programs and initiatives. It reflects both Ellie’s performance and our continued focus on building a team that is aligned, efficient and focused on delivering for our members.

Ellie holds a BASc in Public Health from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Before joining the Chamber, she gained valuable experience with the Lake Superior YMCA and Grandma’s Inc., both organizations with deep roots in serving our community.

As we continue to grow the Chamber Enterprise across our work in business advocacy, economic development and community progress, investments in people like Ellie matter. Strong internal operations allow us to deliver externally for our members and for the region.

Ellie, thank you for all that you’ve done and continue to do. We are a stronger organization because of you, and we’re excited for what’s ahead.
