The Duluth Airport Authority will host a groundbreaking ceremony for a new Air Traffic Control Tower at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026. This new tower will replace the current 70+ year old tower. This project represents a significant investment in improving infrastructure at DLH and will support a strong and growing aviation industry at DLH and the surrounding region.
The event will feature remarks from Michael Henderson, Board President of the DAA; Tom Werner, Executive Director of the DAA; Ryan Gaug, Director of Aeronautics with MnDOT; City of Duluth Mayor Roger Reinert.
