Aspirus St. Luke’s Celebrates Completion of $1.2 Million Clinics Transformation Project

Aspirus St. Luke’s celebrated the completion of a $1.2 million revitalization project with a ribbon cutting ceremony for Aspirus St. Luke’s Clinic Duluth – Ear, Nose & Throat, and Aspirus St. Luke’s Clinic Duluth – General Surgery.

The project which refreshed the audiology workspace and created improvements for patient experience, privacy and workflows in general surgery, has left long-time patients amazed by the transformation when they enter the clinic. Most importantly, the revamp of the spaces was designed to amplify services, improve patient comfort and accessibility, and incorporate advanced technology to enhance care experience.

“This investment reflects our commitment to providing exceptional specialty care,” said Aspirus St. Luke’s Vice President of Operations Kim Terhaar. “From expanded services and advanced technology to a more welcoming environment, these renovations help ensure our patients receive the highest quality care in a space designed around their needs.”

One of the most notable upgrades is a new pediatric-friendly audiology booth featuring advanced 3D technology. The system uses engaging visual elements such as animated, 3D trains to help children identify where sounds are coming from, improving the accuracy of hearing assessments while creating a more comfortable experience for young patients.

Additional project highlights include:

  • Newly dedicated spaces for medical assistants, medical students and physician assistant students
  • A new nurses’ station
  • Dedicated scheduling space for surgery patients
  • A new audiology booth
  • A new procedure room
  • Updated exam rooms
  • New flooring, furniture and LED lighting

The renovation also transformed the clinic’s registration area into a bright, open centralized space, helping to streamline the check-in process and improve patient flow.

The project was made possible through the support of local partners, including Johnson Wilson Constructors, Contract Tile & Carpet, A.W. Keuttel & Sons, Hunt Electric, and St. Luke’s Foundation.
