“I was first introduced to Mary Kay products after attending a bridal fair at the coppertop church back in 1983,” said Judy Seliga-Punyko, who is now an Independent Sales Director with that company. “I only planned on having the makeup done for the day of our wedding, but I fell in love with skin care and makeup application. I decided to try Mary Kay consulting along with coaching swimming. It fit well when I began teaching and coaching full time and having kids. When I was having my third daughter, I left teaching and began Mary Kay full time.”
“I have clients of all ages,” Seliga-Punyko said. “Teens up to [people in their] 80s. Some have only been with me a few years, but there are many that have been with me for over 30 years. We catch up on life together.”
Seliga-Punyko has had a lot of success with Mary Kay, and the job has even led to her earning a branded automobile from the company. “I was also able to purchase the land we built our house on with Mary Kay earnings,” she said. “Going onstage every year [and] earning diamonds is also really fun. I’ve earned hundreds of fun prizes like golf clubs, bikes, jewelry, furniture and household appliances.”
“I plan on being around for a long time servicing my customers and taking care of their skin care and glamour needs,” Seliga-Punyko said. “I’m still swimming competitively in masters’ swimming and using great skin care keeps my skin from getting old, cracked and dry from the chlorine and also keeps me young [while] I’ve become a grandmother to three.”
