We Are the Chamber: Jason Vincent, JayBee Travel

Jason Vincent of JayBee Travel previously worked for more than a decade as a television news anchor and has been a restaurateur since 2014, owning and operating the Vanilla Bean in Two Harbors and Boat Club Restaurant in Duluth. But now he’s onto something quite different.

“I began working in the travel industry about a decade ago, helping the former owner of JayBee Travel with some Duluth-based tours,” Vincent said of how he got involved in his latest venture. “Our relationship continued until right after the pandemic, when she decided to sell her business and retire. In January 2021, I purchased JayBee Travel from her and have been operating it since then.”

“JayBee Travel is exclusively a group-tour operator,” Vincent said. “This means we create, book and personally escort group tours around the world. It’s stress-free, worry-free travel. We take care of all the details – you get to just enjoy the journey. We have taken groups of travelers to such places as Italy, Mexico, Hawaii, Scotland, Ireland and Croatia and all throughout the continental United States. We also coordinate student travel for many schools across the state, taking bands, choirs, orchestras and other student groups to places all around the world.”

“Our guests are looking for a one-stop shop,” Vincent said. “They don’t want to have to worry about putting all the travel plans together. It really is traveling with a new perspective. I love being able to take our travelers around the world, giving them experiences and showing them sights they may never see otherwise.”

Future plans are already being set for the coming years. “We are continuing our group travels into 2026 and 2027,” Vincent said, “with exciting tours planned to Spain, Portugal, Paris, Washington D.C., the Black Hills, Iceland, New Orleans, the West Indies and so much more.”
