The Duluth Huskies are proud to announce that applications are now open for the 2026 ‘Share the Glove’ Baseball Equipment Grant.
What is the Grant?
The grant is a standardized set of Rawlings equipment, sized for youth ages 9-12. There will be a
baseball grant awarded to the surrounding Duluth Communities.
Equipment Grant: Baseball
● (1) Set of Catcher’s Gear (helmet, chest protector, shin guards and mitt)
● (6) batting helmets
● (9) fielding gloves (7 x right, 2 x left)
● (1) bucket of practice baseballs
● (3) bats (1x-27″, 1x-28″, 1x-29″)
This is the ninth year the Northwoods League Foundation is partnering with Rawlings and its
member teams to distribute baseball and softball equipment to 26 youth organizations through
this initiative.
“The Share the Glove program is about showing up for our communities and empowering young athletes,” said Tina Coil, Deputy Commissioner of the Northwoods League. “When kids have the tools to play, we’re not just supporting youth sports — we’re helping build the next generation of players, fans and community leaders.”
Who is eligible to receive the grant?
The following criteria must be met in order to be eligible to receive the grant:
- The organization qualifies as a 501(c)(3) organization, school or school-based program or
community-based organization as defined under US IRC section 501(c)(3); - The organization is not an individual, for-profit business, political or religious
organization; - The organization provides opportunities for kids ages 9-12 to play baseball or softball
within a community that is served by a Northwoods League affiliate.
How will grant applications be accepted and awarded?
The Duluth Huskies will be accepting applications from organizations in the surrounding
